Bristle Craftsmanship & Standards
Every brush in the Fatal Tools Altar Collection is designed by Mohammad Dashti and handcrafted in Qingxian; a historic region renowned for its centuries-old goat-hair craftsmanship and its deep connection to China’s traditional calligraphy brush makers.
For generations, Qingxian artisans have perfected the preparation of natural hair for tools requiring precision, fluidity, and softness. Fatal Tools carries this lineage forward into modern makeup artistry.
Fiber Selection
A blend of high-grade baby goat (for softness) and mature goat (for resilience and structure). Hair is primarily selected from the back area of the goat, where strands have the best balance of elasticity and density. Fibers are uncut, preserving the natural tapered peaks that create smooth, seamless application.
Professional Treatment Process
Fatal Tools bristles undergo a multi-step purification and treatment process, ensuring optimal performance and safety:
- Deep Washing: Removes oils, dust, and impurities without stripping natural scales.
- Steam Sanitization: Fibers are sterilized through controlled steam treatment to meet cosmetic hygiene standards.
- Scaling Preservation: Natural cuticles are kept intact to maintain powder adhesion and superior blending performance.
- Softening & Conditioning: Fibers are treated gently to ensure flexibility and prevent brittleness.
- Cosmetic-Safe Dyeing: The signature Fatal red is achieved using eco-certified, skin-safe dyes with high color fastness.
No heavy metals / No fluorescent agents / Minimal bleeding during first time wash
From Calligraphy to Glamour: The Fatal Philosophy
Inspired by the centuries-old discipline of Chinese calligraphy, Fatal Tools brushes carry the same philosophy:
• Precision through discipline
• Fluidity through soft, responsive fibers
• Expression through intentional form
• Ritual through craft
Every brush becomes a modern beauty instrument shaped by ancient artistry; translating the heritage of ink-making tools into skin-sculpting elegance.
Ethical Harvesting (Cruelty-Free)
Fibers are obtained through humane, non-harmful methods.
Mature goat hair is collected through routine cyclical shearing of fully grown goats. Baby goat fibers are collected in small quantities through natural seasonal shedding and gentle hand-combing, without cutting, force, or harm to the animal.
This is a 100% cruelty-free but not vegan material.
